Entry Number:

It is that time of year again.  Time for the NCAA College Basketball Tournament, aka "MARCH MADNESS" and the greatest NCAA Tournament Pool around.  This is the 18th year of the pool.  I am looking forward to another fine tournament and pool just like we had last year.  I would like to do one thing better in 2010 though and that is to get even more people in the pool than we had in 2009.  In 2009 for had 1032 active entries topping the 1000 mark for the first time in pool history.  For 2010 I'd like to make it an even 1100 participants.  The more people in it the bigger the prize money!!!!  So hurry up there isn't much time left to go and get all your friends and their friends too into the pool!!!!

As we have done for many years now $2 from every entry fee will be used for a charitable donation.  This year the donation will be split between two different charities, The Texas Children's Hospital and The Maisey and Jake Lowe Children's Fund.   In May 2007 my son Gehrig was diagnosed with a heart defect known as coarctation of the aorta which required surgery to repair his damaged heart.  Gehrig was 4 years old at the time of his successful surgery at Texas Children's hospital.  Maisey (10) and Jake (7) Lowe are my niece and nephew and they live in Fairbanks, Alaska.  In January 2008 their father, my brother-in-law, Jimmy Lowe died in his sleep as a result of a heart condition.  Jimmy was 37.  As you can see both of these charities are very important to me and any extra donations to these charities will be greatly appreciated.

All entries for the pool MUST be done online.  The online entry form will be available approximately 4 hours after the teams have been selected on Sunday, March 14th.  For complete details and rules please see The Rules of the Pool

Back again for 2010 is also our Survivors Pool.  Go to Survivor Pool Rules for details on participating.

For those of you in and around Fairfield, CT we will be collecting picks on Wednesday, March 17th (Saint Patrick's Day) at our usual spot of The Sea Grape on Reef Road in Fairfield, CT.  We will be there from 6pm to 9pm collecting entries.

Masters Pool
Many have asked but my schedule just doesn't allow for me to do the Masters Pool this year.  Hopefully it will be back in 2011.

Let the MADNESS begin!!!!!!
