TO ALL POTENTIAL PARTICIPANTS:
It's MARCH MADNESS time again, and you are invited to participate in the 16th annual NCAA Basketball Tournament Pool.  Let’s make this the best NCAA Basketball Tournament Pool yet!!!   Let the MADNESS begin!!

ENTRY FEE:
 
This year's entry fee is $20
- The entry fee has remained the same for 16 years

  • The Big Money Award

  • Coach of the Year Award – All entries that correctly pick all the Final Four teams will share $400.
  • The Anchor Man Award – The Anchor Man is redeemable for a free entry in 2009.

NOTES:

  • First prize in 2007was over $6500!!!!
  • The prize money for The Big Money Award consists of the monies left over after all other awards and donations are distributed.
  • If there are less than 550 paid entries in the pool the ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth place prizes will be removed from the prize list.
  • All monies collected are paid out in prizes with the exception of $2 from every paid entry which will be donated to The Texas Children's Hospital and the Maisey and Jake Lowe Children's Fund.

DATES TO REMEMBER:

  • Selection Sunday, March 16th -- Tournament Teams Selected (6:00PM EST on CBS)
  • Monday, March 17th thru Thursday, March 20th -- Submission of Entries. All entries must be received before the tip of the 1st game on March 20th, or postmarked no later than March 19th.
  • Thursday afternoon, March 20th -- First Round games begin.

WHAT YOU DO:
Pick the winner of all 63 games in the tournament.  Enter your picks online here on the web site.

**NOTE** Picks do not include the play-in game.

POINTS

For each correct pick, the following points are awarded:

First Round

Two points

Second Round

Four points

Third Round

Six points

Fourth Round (Regional Championship)

Eight points

Fifth Round (Semi-Finals)

Ten points

The Champion (The Final)

Twelve points

Underdog bonus points: Difference between the lower and the higher seeded team should an underdog beat the favorite, i.e. if a 16th seed beats the 1st seeded team and you picked it correctly you would receive 15 bonus points.

Most Wins Per Round Bonus Points: The person or persons with the most wins in each of the first, second and third rounds will receive 1 point for the first round, 2 points for the second round and 3 points for the third round.

Ties:
Ties will be broken on the basis of most overall wins; if still a tie, the shares effected will be split.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  1. Multiple entries are welcome.
  2. For all picks  your money must be received before the tip of the first game, Thursday, March 20th or postmarked no later than Wednesday, March 19th.  
  3. NO hand written entries will be accepted.  All entries MUST be done online.
  4. Make checks out to CASH.  Checks made out to the Administrator will no longer be accepted.
  5. Include a copy of your entry sheet with your payment.
  6. Entries will NOT show up in the standing until we receive payment for your entry.
  7. Deadlines are firm!!
  8. The Administrator play's three entries for free.
